Strokes of Luck Golf Tournament - SHAMROCK CUP

Details

Players will be divided into two evenly matched groups – “Green Team” and “White Team”Each Team will have a “Captain” Making Player Selections for their Team Throughout the Tournament – players will wear either “Green” or “White”

Day 1

Game 1 Format Four-Ball Match Play– Saturday, November 16th, 2024

• Each match will have (4) players
• Two players will be from the “Green Team”.
• Two Players will be from the “White Team”.
• Each player will play their “own” ball.
• Scores are recorded by each player for the hole.
• For each hole, the lowest “individual” score for each Team is compared to determine if the hole is won/lost or tied.
   
  Example:
  Green-PlayerA scores 4
  Green-PlayerB scores 4
  White-PlayerA scores 7
  White-PlayerB scores 3

In the above example the Green Team has a hole score of 4 and the White Team wins the hole with a score of 3.
 

• Each match is won by whichever team (Green/White) wins the most holes. Each "match" is worth 1 point.
• Point totals from Day 1 and Day 2 will determine the overall tournament winner.
   
  Note: Four-Ball Match Play is described in the USGA Rules (Rule 23).

Day 2

 Game 2 Format Foursomes Match Play (Alternate Shot) – Sunday, November 17th, 2024

• Each match will have (4) players
• Two players will be from the “Green Team”.
• Two Players will be from the “White Team”.
• Each Team (Green/White) will play one ball, alternating tee shots as well as alternating strokes on each hole.
• Players from each team must alternate teeing off each hole. If PlayerA tees off on an odd number hole, he will tee off on ALL of the odd number holes and PlayerB will tee off on ALL even number holes.
• Each team's score is recorded and the team with the lowest score wins the hole.
• Each match is won by whichever team (Green/White) wins the most holes. Each "match" is worth 1 point.
• Point totals from Day 1 and Day 2 will determine the overall tournament winner.
  
  Note: Four-Ball Match Play is described in the USGA Rules (Rule 22).

• Registration required + Green Fees  to be eligible
• $100 Player Buy-In at Registration (payable online)
• No GHIN # is required to participate
